  • Bob Savage

    Bob Savage is the Founder and President of Savage Consulting. Savage is also the Founder and Managing Partner of CoreNetwork Fund, a private early-stage venture cap8ital fund in this mluti-state region of the Midwest.
    Bob Helped the Regional Growth Partnership start Rocket Ventures, and served as its Fund Manager during its' early years.
    he has helped clients raise over $60 million in capital, while growing various companies in the region.
    Bob has been a long time member of the Downtown Toledo Rotary Chapter, and has mentored and tutored numerous students in the Toledo area.


  • Candice Matthews

    Prior to founding Hillman Accelerator, Candice advised and provided coaching to executive leadership in the strategic and operational aspects of management, change, marketing, sales, and client relationship management for local and national firms.
    Candice co-founded Hello Parent, which was a national safety technology partner of the Brady Campaign to Reduce Gun Violence and American Academy of Pediatrics.
    Candice Founded the Black Founders Network (BFN) to address the need for increased diversity and inclusion efforts in the Cincinatti entrepreneurial ecosystem.
    Candice currently serves on the Board of Directors at Beech Acres Parenting Center where she chairs the Parenting Innovation and Technology Committee.


  • Dr. Michael Toole

    Dr. Michael Toole, the current Dean of the college of Engineering, comes to UT from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, where he served as professor, associate dean of engineering, director of the Grand Challenge Scholars Program, and director of the Institute for Leadership in Technology and Management.
    earning a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, dean Toole has won teaching awards at MIT and best paper awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers, of which he is a member.


  • Justin Hammerling

    AVP of Innovations, ProMedica Innovations Justin Hammerling, AVP of Innovations, is the initial point of contact for inventors who are interested in pursuing potential commercialization of their inventions at ProMedica.
    He provides the inventors insights into the commercialization process and connects them to available resources within ProMedica, Cleveland Clinic and other Alliance partners.
    Justin works with both ProMedica Innovations and Cleveland Clinic Innovations teams to identify potential marketing and commercialization options for inventions.
    Obtaining both undergraduate and master’s degrees from University of Colorado, Justin has innovations and project management experience with Fortune 500 companies.

  • Tom Burden

    Tom Burden has seen Pitch & Pour before, as he and his idea became the winner of the 2014 Pitch & Pour competition.
    After spending 8 years as an F-16 mechanic in the US Air Force, Tom won the Toledo Startup competition and went on to win the 2017 SEMA Launch Pad and Global Press Award.
    His product, Grypmat, successfully completed a 6 figure Kickstarter. he also successfully pitched the Grypmat to ABC's and CNBC's Shark tank, garnering the investment of 3 sharks.
